Dr. Jones is the current practicing kinesiologist at Breaking Chains Wellness. She holds a doctorate in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science from Concordia University, which she received in 2023. Additionally, she possesses a master’s degree in athletic administration and a bachelor’s degree in health, both from Western Kentucky University, along with two associate degrees that focus on science. Dr. Jones is an ARMY veteran and has worked as a performance enhancement specialist, tactical strength and conditioning coach, group fitness instructor, and MWR director since 2006, developing rehabilitation, performance enhancement, and recreation programs for various branches of the Department of Defense.
Dr. Jones holds personal trainer and special populations certifications from the prestigious Cooper Institute*. Since 2011, she has been certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She is presently pursuing certification as an Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) and Sports Scientist from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), respectively, both of which are the highest credentials attainable by their respective organizations.
Her previous research has focused on the effects of blood flow restriction therapy augmented with low-intensity exercise on improving chronic pain and physical function in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. **
